Chennai formerly known as Madras is the capital of Indian state Tamil Nadu. It is the fifth most populous city in India, situated on the Coromondal coast of Bay of Bengal. Chennai has many historical places that adds an incredible charm to the city. It has some of the well known temples, churches and mosques. Most of the temples are built in Dravidian style. Some of the famous temples are Parthasarathy Temple, Ashtalakshmi Temple, ISKCON Temple, Vadapalani Temple, and Marundeeswarar Temple. Chennai is popularly known as “Gateway to South India” and it has a unique culture which is different from other cultures. This city is well developed in the automobile, computer, technology, hardware manufacturing, and healthcare industries. These are the key industries which raises the economy of the city.
